there are no big differenties like ethnicity or political thougths between fener-gala. my brother can support fener or my father too. there are no borders in the city neither its all mixed up just the colors seperate the two teams on is red the other is dark blue both have rightist and leftist both have minorities, snobs or ghettos. this game is not like barca-madrid or celtic-rangers. we have no reason just a pure hate to other team.
sure we cant understand your derby games or scottish and argentian games every culture has own differenties.
20 years ago we could support fenerbahce in europe and they could too.. we learned that never support your rival team in cl or uefa from european fans and european rivalry culture.
in 1988 all turkish fans were supporting galatasaray in the champions cup but then things have changed.
but still in europe when you watch away game with some german or swiss team against gala or fener you can see both sides fans together and supporting each others.
to add all these comments my fellows and you have done, we, as the fan groups of both teams, are having some steps towards each other, unfortunately caused by some losses from the stands and health issues of the loved ones. Does that mean we love each other? No, of course...
you re a fool. you dont need different religious affiliation - celtic and rangers - and different sense of national identity - barcelona and madrid - for it to be a truly derby. while real fans sit on their asses watching a barca game having their boring stupid cheers and barca doing the same - so gay - in turkey, people actually kill each other. and i am in no way supporting this, but before you say this is not a rivalry, come on, people dont have to differ in religion or nationality for it to be a derby. a love for the colors is enough. and you know what, turkish people are intelligent enough to see that supporting different teams based on different religious and nationalist views is pretty stupid. 30 years ago, it was against the law to speak catalan and i dont understand how anyone can be proud of this and still have the decency to support francos team. its so strange that all the people from madrid that i met are so critical of catalans or even basques.
its different with turkish people, we can say we have different colors in blood and its all a matter of love rather than some stupid sense of national or religious identity. but that doesnt mean it is not a rivalry. just because your fascist dictator franco which you love the most since you are from madrid contradicts catalans and basque doesnt mean that it is a rivalry, a true derby.
and on a side note, catalunya will be a beautiful country and they wont have to pay so much tax for all the stupid lazy spanish in almeria, etc....
